Salda lake

In addition to the beautiful view formed by the cleanliness of its water and its turquoise color, the small beaches located on the southwest and southeast coasts allow the area to be used for recreational purposes. Lake Salda is located approximately 60 km west of Burdur province. It is known as the deepest, cleanest, clearest lake in Turkey. Its altitude above sea level is 1140 m. The presence of magnesium, soda and clay in the composition of the lake water causes beneficial results in the treatment of some skin diseases. According to research conducted by experts, the lake water is good for acne. The forest cover left behind the lake is home to partridges, rabbits, foxes, wild boars, and the lake is home to wild ducks. There are seven white islands that become visible when the water in the lake recedes.

Pamukkale / Hierapolis
Pamukkale / Hierapolis

Pamukkale / Hierapolis is among the oldest thermal cities in the world. Pamukkale is a natural protected area in the southwest region, as its name suggests, a uniquely beautiful place consisting of natural travertines as white as cotton. The region consists of hot healing spring waters and travertines, terrace-like white layers formed by carbonate minerals left behind by the stream. The ancient city of Hierapolis was established at the highest point of Pamukkale, overlooking the entire view.

Ancient Hierapolis

We will depart from Antalya at 6:00 with our vehicle and after a 3-hour journey we will arrive in Pamukkale. In the middle of the road we will have a breakfast break in Korkuteli, at the top of the mountains. When we arrive in Pamukkale we will visit the world-famous travertines, the ancient Greek city of Hieropolis and swim in the waters of the thermal healing Cleopatra pool.

Ancient Hieropolis is known for the burial of St. Philip, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ - the city played an important role in the spread of Christianity. The city, which has a beautiful location, offers magnificent views.

Ephesus Ancient City

It was an ancient Greek city on the western coast of Anatolia, three kilometres southwest of the Selçuk district of today's İzmir province, on the Ionian coast and later an important Roman city. Its foundation dates back to the Neolithic Age, around 6000 BC. It was built by Attic and Ionian Greek colonists in the 10th century BC on the site of the old capital of Arzawa. It was one of the twelve cities of Ionia during the Classical Greek period. The city flourished after it came under the control of the Roman Republic in 129 BC. Ephesus was included on the Tentative List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1994 and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2015. The city is famous for the nearby Temple of Artemis (completed around 550 BC), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Among its many other monumental structures are the Library of Celsus and a theatre that could seat 25,000 spectators. Ephesus is one of the seven churches of Asia mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
