- This program, which beautifully combines walking in nature and the pleasure of the sea in ancient "Lycia", the Mediterranean region, is enriched with visits to ancient sites such as Termessos, Xantos, Letôon, Pınara, Patara, Kekova, Myra, which were affiliated with the world's first known democracy, the "Lycian Confederation". We will pass through pine and cedar-scented forests, high plateaus, and magnificent canyons in the Akdağ and Olympos mountain ranges, and encounter nomads with black tents that have not yet been touched by modernism. We will discover dazzling beaches caressed by transparent blue waters, sunken cities, ancient tombs buried in water, and mountains adorned with a thousand types of flowers on the Mediterranean coast decorated with pink oleanders.
Purpose of the Tour: We will make new discoveries in the geographies where the first settlements of the Turks were made in the thousand-year history of the Lycian region and where nomadic cultures still live. We will take a short break to breathe life in the plateaus of ancient Lycia. We will swim in the calmest and cleanest bays of the Mediterranean coast.
