Lake Salda is a slightly salty karst lake surrounded by forest-covered hills, rocky terrain and small alluvial plains in the Yeşilova district of Burdur, 4 km from the town center. It is a closed basin structure with no outflow within the Lakes Region. Its surface area is approximately 44 square kilometers. It is the 3rd deepest lake in Turkey with a depth of up to 184 meters. The hydromagnesite mineral formed in the lake is one of the most beautiful and up-to-date examples of "biological mineralization".
In addition to the beautiful landscape formed by the cleanliness of its water and its turquoise color, the small beaches located on the southwest and southeast coasts allow the area to be used for recreational purposes. Its altitude above sea level is 1140 m.
